Students at GAMP also perform comparatively well on the SATs.
- The average SAT math score in 2012 at GAMP was 466 and the average SAT verbal score was 470. These scores, while slightly lower than the national averages that hover around 500 and than those at Masterman, SLA, CAPA (for verbal and math) and Palumbo (just for math), are higher than the average scores at all other Philadelphia Public Schools and all but one (MaST Community) Charter School.
The screenshot above summarizes GAMP's performance on the School Progress Report. (A note: for the School Progress Report, GAMP was placed in a peer group with Central, Masterman and Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush)
- While GAMP's overall achievement qualifies it as a model school and as 5th in the city, it is only 3rd in its Peer Group.
- It is 3rd in achievement for both its peer and city rankings, revealing that GAMP is in the highest performing peer group in the Philadelphia School District, a placement that reflects positively on the caliber of the school.
- As we mentioned earlier, GAMP is a city leader and peer leader in terms of school climate.
- Finally, GAMP is a model school in terms of College and Career readiness, placing once again easily within the top 5 Philadelphia schools.
