Follow us around
We began our tour on Osage Ave, heading toward 46th Street. The street is filled with grassy yards, lots of trees and beautiful single family homes. The street, which has a small town feel, is a refreshing escape from the typical city atmosphere.
We then headed down 46th Street to see the shops on Baltimore Ave. Baltimore Ave reflects the juxtaposition of old and new with high-end car mechanics situated next door to small mom and pop shops. We saw further evidence of the neighborhood's transformation on the corner of Baltimore and 43rd Street. Clarkville, a "pizza centric beer bar," just moved into the property, leaving the sign for a previous pizza shop hanging outside. Cafes, beer bars, and trendy restaurants were seen throughout the neighborhood, reflecting the neighborhood's shift in population. We then headed up 42nd Street toward Penn Alexander. On this street, we saw many apartment complexes and houses geared toward university students. Finally, we ended our tour at the Parent Infant Center and Penn Alexander! |
